Not Just for The Climb
Stairs is one of the features of the house that are often neglected when it comes to the idea of redesigning or house remodeling. Not anybody can realize this at the beginning, but a beautiful stairway can greatly affect how the room looks. A wooden stairway can add to the classical look of the house while glass stairways create a contemporary look.
There are many stairs design available and most of the time, designing a stairway can be such a challenge for designers and builders. It is important that each step of the stairs has a measure suitable to the people living in the house. Any mistake in the measurement and design can lead to future accidents. If the stairs is too steep or the width and length of the steps are too small for a person to step onto, there is a greater chance that a person in a hurry could miscalculate his steps and fall down. Also, if the materials used in building the steps are too smooth or slippery, any person could slip while climbing up or walking down the stairs. It is also important to carefully consider the measurement and the kind of material you will use for the railings.
Stairs maintenance is also important. Always make sure that no toys or any other things are placed in the stairways and should always clean up spills immediately to avoid accidents. It is also advisable to periodically check your stairs for damaged or creaky steps and have them repaired at once to avoid future injuries.
